Electrical Takeoff Sheet

Count it once, find it again. A takeoff log that works the way electrical estimators actually count.

Excel + Google SheetsBlank + sample filesNo macrosInstant download

Stop rebuilding your takeoff sheet on every bid. This workbook gives you one clean place to log every fixture, device, piece of gear, equipment connection, and footage, with a drawing reference on every line so you can find any count in seconds when the addendum hits.

Features

  • 300-line takeoff log: system, location, item, size, unit, qty, sheet ref, area, status, notes
  • Waste factors apply automatically by system; override any line
  • Feeder schedule calculates wire, ground, and conduit footage from sets, conductors, and length
  • Gear schedule doubles as your gear RFQ list
  • Equipment connections with disconnect and starter responsibility
  • Summary rolls up by system, wire by size (Cu/Al), conduit by size and type, gear by type, and disconnects by rating
  • Bid task tracker with % complete
  • 'Lines not checked' and 'no system' warnings so nothing slips through

Questions

How do I get the files?

Checkout runs through Gumroad. Right after you pay, you get a download link on screen and by email. Nothing ships.

Do they work in Google Sheets?

Yes. Upload the .xlsx to Google Drive and open it with Google Sheets. Formulas, dropdowns, and colors carry over. No macros are used anywhere, so there's nothing to enable.

Are the labor units and rates filled in?

No, and on purpose. Every rate, factor, and markup is a clearly labeled placeholder you replace with your own. Your numbers stay yours.

What if something doesn't work?

Email helloscottcox@gmail.com and I'll fix it or make it right.

Is this engineering or legal advice?

No. These are estimating tools. You're responsible for verifying quantities, pricing, labor, and code compliance.
